Open Water Diver

If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course.

The PADI Open Water Diver course teaches you the basics of diving and how to stay safe through knowledge development and practical training. The course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles and theory of scuba diving.

  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore the underwater environment!

We schedule our scuba classes once a month with classroom and confined water (pool) training beginning on Friday evening and finishing up on Sunday at 4:30pm. After completing the Classroom and Pool sessions, you will do 4 Open Water check-out dives over the course of 2 days.  We use a local lake, or do a shore dive in Door County.  You also have the option of completing your check-out dives on your vacation to a diving destination.
