Self Reliant Diver
The classic and most strict definition of solo diving is one diver in the water completely alone and self-contained with no shred of support either with him or waiting on the surface.

There are a limited number of this type of solo dives made every day in dive destinations around the globe, and the PADI Self Reliant Diver course offers training to help make this type of solo dive more secure by presenting standard guidelines and rules for planning and execution. But there are lots of other types of solo dives and these are more common and less obvious, but nevertheless cry out for the skills offered by an Self Reliant Diver course.
The skills taught during this course are naturally applicable in the event of an emergency when diving as part of a buddy team and graduates from a PADI Self Reliant Diver course make better, more comfortable and more skillful divers.

The price of the class is $200.00. This includes your student manual and certification card. There will be 1 classroom session and 3 open water dives.
Pre-requisites are: 21 years old, Advanced OW Diver, and at least 100 Logged Dives In addition to your normal scuba gear, you will need the following personal equipment:
- Pony bottle with regulator and pressure gauge
- Audible Surface Signal (whistle)
- Surface Marker (safety sausage)
- Back-up Mask
